Note: South Dakota State Law declares that a private well may not be connected to a public water system (i.e. Bear Butte Valley Water System). This means you will need to have your licensed plumber disconnect your existing well when connecting to the system.

Water User Easements Needed ASAP
With funding in place and construction approaching the board would like to remind users that we need your signed and notarized easement ASAP. Without the easement the contractor cannot install your meter pit or service line on your property. Therefore, no easement = no water. Please contact the Bear Butte Valley Office if you have any questions regarding easements.
