Member Connections to the Bear Butte Valley Water System
Members are responsible for connecting to the Bear Valley Water System through the use of a plumber licensed by the State of South Dakota. Members will connect to the Bear Butte Valley water system approximately 10ft to 20ft past the meter pit in most cases.
Note: South Dakota State Law declares that a private well may not be connected to a public water system (i.e. Bear Butte Valley Water System). This means you will need to have your licensed plumber disconnect your existing well when connecting to the system.

Water User Easements Needed ASAP
We will need a signed and notarized easement prior to any work being done on your property. Easement paperwork is available at the Bear Butte Valley Water Inc. office. Office personnel can be contacted at 605-206-0703 of 605-347-1835 or at [email protected] . Without the easement the contractor cannot install your meter pit or service line on your property. Therefore, no easement = no water. Please contact the Bear Butte Valley Office if you have any questions regarding easements.
